(I've even held off going to the ER so I could catch<i> The Shield</i>. Record it? Pish-tosh!) A second thing any one of My friends can tell you about Me is that I think loyalty is the most important characteristic a person can possess. In My most skilled TV critique, one of the best dramas ever to hit cable TV was<i> </i>HBO's <i>The Wire</i> <i>--</i> complete with excellent writing, exquisite direction, and insanely compelling characters delivering some of the best lines in all of TV-drama history [see <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Sgj78QG9Bg"><b>here</b></a> and <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFh2f7rNAEI&feature=related"><b>here</b></a>]. One character in particular stood out to Me, Bodie Broadus. Not just another Baltimore hoppa, but a true soldier in every sense of the word. Without question, Bodie was fearless, reliable, and trustworthy. Even though he was responsible for the death of another one of My many favorite characters from the show, I couldn't dislike the guy because his loyalty was unrivaled. Bodie's the guy you can call at 3 a.m. and say, 'I need a favor, but don't ask Me any questions,' and not only will he be there <u>and</u> prepared, but he'll be Jimmy-John's-fast, too. So when I think about it, whether in real life or some other universe, Bodie very well could've been one of My buddies. Unfortunately for Bodie and so many others in tha game, comfortable retirements are a rare occurrence. Losing Bodie had become like losing a friend I kicked it with every Sunday night. This is My dedication to Bodie Broadus.
